Market Mayhem to Market Magic: Sensex Soars 1,000+ Points After Trump’s Surprise Move!
Stock Market News: Trump’s Announcement Boosts Indian Market, But Uncertainty Still Remains
On Friday, the Indian stock market opened with a strong rally.
- Sensex jumped 1,061 points to reach 74,941.53.
- Nifty rose 354 points to 22,754.05.
This rise came after U.S. markets went up on Wednesday, following a big announcement by former U.S. President Donald Trump. He gave 90 days of tariff relief to 75 countries, including India. This gave investors hope and reduced global trade tension for a short time.
However, Trump also raised tariffs on Chinese goods to 125%, and China replied by increasing tariffs on U.S. products up to 84%. This shows that the U.S.-China trade war is back, and that creates fear in global markets.
Market expert Ajay Bagga said that while the market opened strong, it may go flat later in the day. Since markets will be closed on Monday, some investors may sell and book profits by afternoon.
Because of this global uncertainty, many investors moved to safe assets like gold, which hit a record ₹91,500 per 10 grams in India. People are also investing in Japanese Yen and Swiss Franc. The U.S. Dollar Index dropped to 100, which may help markets like India, but overall, the situation is still uncertain.
